Game Rules

GoalBeat the dealer by getting closer to 21 without going over. A natural Blackjack is an Ace plus any 10-value card in your first two cards, before any split.

GameplayThe dealer deals two cards to themself and two to you; the dealer's second card is face-down. Choose Hit to take another card or Stand to keep your hand. A total over 21 is a bust.

Card ValuesJacks, Queens, and Kings are worth 10. Number cards are worth their face value. An Ace counts as 11 unless that would make the hand exceed 21, in which case it counts as 1.

Splitting PairsTwo initial cards of the same value can be split into two separate hands. This table allows one split per round and Double After Split (DAS).

BettingChoose a chip before each round. After your first two cards, you may Double Down: double the wager and receive exactly one more card.

PayoutA regular win pays 1:1. A natural Blackjack pays 3:2.

SurrenderOn this single-deck S17 table: surrender Hard 16 vs 10; vs Ace, only 10+6. Do not surrender Hard 15. Half your wager is returned.

InsuranceOffered when the dealer shows an Ace. Costs half your wager; pays 2:1 if the dealer has Blackjack. Basic strategy says always decline.

Strategy GuidanceWhen Basic Strategy is on, the recommended action is marked with ★ and a short rule-specific explanation is shown.

Strategy ModesOFF = no help. ALWAYS = the Basic Strategy action is shown every turn. HINT = press "Show Hint" to reveal it only when stuck.

ProgressOpen the stats panel to review exact observed scenarios by card composition, dealer up-card, legal actions, and table rules. Accuracy uses independent answers only; assisted exposures are shown separately.
